hello, i am budget user, current mobo i am using is Asus P8H61-M LX3 R2.0 , with i5 2310, 8gb corsair vengeance, nvidia gtx 760, i am getting enough performance in gaming, but current motherboard is lil bit small and having problem adding heat sink(Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo) cooler fan is not able to fit, because its joined with ram,
so i was thinking if New Budget and good performance motherboard can increase performance as well as better fit in my Cabinet ( cooler master k380) which must have 4 slots of ram and good performance,
at my location best cheap mobo some one suggested me is Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H,
so i have some questions related it,

-is that good budget mobo?
-is that Future proof?
-Should i buy New mobo or Buy another Cpu like Amd 6300 with good motherboard,
-keep it up what i have current, good motherboard cant increase preformance?
- if i get good motherboard( Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H or other ) will i able to upgrade good intel CPU which is good for gaming?

please help, Thanks in Advance..

Solution
motherboards don't tend to affect gaming performance in short, just the more expensive you get more features and better multi-GPU support as well as better chipsets which the best ones are also affordable.

I won;t question the one you have listed as that motherboard is a great choice.

keep your i5, no need to go to a 6300.

you can only upgrade your CPU to one which is supported by the socket and motherboard itself, an i7 3xxx CPU is viable.

Solution
- When not overclocking that motherboard is fine
- It's already outdated. So, not futureproof. But nothing is futureproof because computer technology moves fast
- What's your current motherboard? Motherboard does affect performance but not much

I would not call LGA 1155 outdated.

Well if you're talking about future proofing, than 1155 is not at all future proof.
Intel already announced their new broadwell processor. And i don't think that will be compatible with the LGA 1150
So okay, 1155 is not that old but not future proof

neither is any socket around that he could change to, be called future proof. So LGA 1155 is technically not outdated or really not future resistant either for a while, as for the future he has the ability to upgrade to a CPU which can suffice for later, but that would be considered a waste.

Yes, i know. That's why i said : 'nothing is futureproof'. Intel is making new processor almost every year. That's why i like AMD's CPUs more. Because they take their time in developing a processor

thanks for your Suggestion :) ,
There are Many Meaning of Futureproof, Futureproof Doesnt means Being Latest, Outdated means, best Example is Pentium 3 or 4, we cant even run games properly on that,
Futureproof means, the Still getting good performance than outdated i.e Pentium,
actually i was thinking to get better than before because i am budget user i cant buy BIG thing 😛

i think i should wait for New amd or any budget CPU, which makes better upgrade (atleast better than current) according to my Budget :)

I wouldn't call LGA 1155 outdated, hell plenty of people still run i5 2500ks because they were amazing overclockers. Broadwell isn't going to be as big of an upgrade as people think in terms of desktop application..for a mobile platform the integrated graphics and better power efficiency for longer battery life will be the major selling point. The only broadwell chips that will clearly have gains are the higher end 6-8 core CPUs they intend to make for the enthusiast level.

''future proof'' is really a subjective term..because it ultimately boils down to what you're expecting this desktop to be able to handle. The biggest factor is ultimately going to be the graphics cards longevity for handling games. It seems most newer games are going to start taking more vram over the typical 2GB card.

Thanks for Help,
i have more question,
so as i said i am using Asus p8h61-m lx3 r2.0, i am using Corsair 2x4gb vengeance ram,
the main thing i want to ask, when i open any hardware monitor software, it shows my ram to 666, means 1slot corsair vengeance 4gb 666mhz 2nd slot same mhz,
my ram is 1600mhz, so why its not showing 1600 or something? how to make it 1600mhz? whats the benefit? in gaming?

That's normal unfortunately even if the memory states its 1600mhz sometimes the motherboard detects it at 1333mhz. You normally have to go into the bios and change the memory to set it to the mhz that you want.

There is certainly a benefit, but its not something you're really going to notice. With that said it doesn't hurt to bump it up to 1600mhz.

Also....its dual channel ram... so the mhz is split ... so 1333/2 1600/2 etc... Its never going to show as 1333/1600/1800/1866/ etc.

Thanks bro,
i am at office now, when i will go to home i will test it and inform you :)
thanks again,

when i try to set my ram to 1600mhz ,after restart my pc not starting, i tried XMP profile 1 too but nothing happens, can you tell me how to use 1600 mhz ? :)

i am using Corsair Vengeance 2x4gb,( CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9 )
not any error, when i try to set xmp profile 1 with 1600mhz then after save computer dont start, then i restart the cpu, then the msg came overclocking failed.(may be thats because of i did restart)
