Question Good NVMEs

Looking for 1TB of NVMe for a new build. I have a few different questions.

1) What's the difference between M.2 2280 and M.2 22110? I'm assuming the 2280 is the more popular one and likely what I will find on my motherboard, but just wanted to make sure.

2) I know that Samsungs are top on the line, but I don't want to shell out that type of money. How are Western Digital drives? I've seen some for super good prices, but don't necessarily trust that their SSD's are quality. Same with Inland, Microcenter has a great deal right now, I just want to make sure that it's a quality brand.
