[SOLVED] good pairing mobo/cpu for gtx 970

looking for something under 300 thats a good pairing for future possible upgrades gpu wise. other parts i have no problem finding. just havent found any reliable information as too a good pairing cost wise. any help will do, much obliged!

Do you have DDR4 RAM, or does that need to be included in the $300 budget?

2x8GB DDR4-3600 = $90 (The Ryzen 1600AF probably wont be able to hit 3600MHz, but the CPU upgrade will)
MSI B450 Tomahawk = $119 (gives you a good base for a Ryzen 3700X/3800X or 4000 series CPU.
Ryzen 1600AF = $85 (good enough, not spending too much so CPU upgrade is easier)

I should add that B550 motherboards are slated to launch mid-June. Can you wait till then?

That 1600AF will likely pair well enough with the 970 that your next upgrade will be GPU focused without some other reason to need more leverage (cores/speed).
