So when I first went with my computer case, I picked one with a blue LED installed, shifting my setup to a blue rig. I ended up buying two more blue LED fans to put into my build. I was wondering, since I what more of a green setup if I could mix green with blue since they are similar colours. I was thinking a green case (DIYPC Cuboid-G (maybe), or I could just stick with a blue setup but same case) and blue LED fans but with green LED strips. I think it will give out a cool glow and effect because the colours may compliment each other.

dont really have one, Just thought that it may look cool for when I upgrade my PC, any suggestions?

I guess this...

This will give you a lot of blue. Blue LED on the case, blue from the Swiftech cooler, blue RAM, blue shrouds on a motherboard. Don't use the blue LEDs because those would look bad here. I always like the natural colors from everything.

Oh, thats what you meant by budget, I only want to upgrade certain parts of my build like a CPU, motherboard and, case. and if thats the case, my budget is $300 CAD

right, I have a pentium that has a LGA 1150 socket, a gigabyte motherboard (ATX), those are the only parts I want to replace.

I currently hacve a 660 sc edition, but plan on either getting a second one, or replacing it altogether. also wouldnt this be better for a CPU? whats the difference between this and the one you suggested? AMD FX-6300 Vishera

isnt my current processor a bottle neck for the 660?

You need to list what processor and motherboard you have to really get any help.
Download CPUZ if you have no clue it will show you the processor and mainboard then report back.

Do not make the mistake of buying a FX processor to be honest they suck unless you overclock them around the 5.0 area to get the stink out.

Can you tell me how the FX sucks? How is it any different for say a i3?

You need to list what you have to see what you really need to replace and not replace.
For gaming I would pretty much take the i3 over the 6300 any day. The extra very low performing cores mean absolutely nothing to the processing power.
As of now your not limited to a i3.

I have a Intel core 2 quad clocked at 2.40 Ghz, that I think I can overclock to like 3.2 Ghz with a after market cooler. the only problem for me is finding a compatible motherboard for that CPU... any suggestions? aswell as would you suggest for me to buy a 750 Ti/sc? because its a newer GPU than the 660? if not can you suggest a GPU that is under 250$ CAD and is a very good performance per dollar? Thanks!

Zerk, FX is good in niche markets. Once you OC it'll be better in games, but you think they suck because they don't have the lithography? That's BS. They are decent with the 6-8 cores, but since they don't have the single-threaded performance, they become niche, good for those who need a workstation at a low price.

And also, don't reply to this post if you aren't going to read it. OP clearly said he has a Pentium.

OP, for the GPU, mind if it's not blue? Gives better perfomance.

It clearly says he has a 1150 socket,
Please read the post.
Although he seems very reluctant to list the motherboard for some strange reason.
His exact words

It would make a lot of since to keep the motherboard and add a i5 processor and yes the performance of all FX processors are very poor compared to Intel.

Why on earth would you recommend buying a FX6300 and a new motherboard when for the same price he could just pop in a i5 and stomp all over the FX's performance.
You might have some good ideas but this is absolutely not one of them.
If he wishes for looks over performance he needs to go see a doctor.

I don't recommend AMD processors. I merely argue against that they suck solely because their single-threaded performance. I merely said it doesn't matter with the GPU since it's so bad, that FX or i3 doesn't matter. And also, looks matter, so why be in such a worry.
