When I built my PC a year ago, it was pretty top-of-the-line (aside from the CPU) without going for Titans and such. It used to run faster than it currently does. Now I have issues with even simple games such as CS:GO and League of Legends, where I receive frame drops intermittently regardless of the graphic settings. When playing games, I usually let the auto-detect feature determine my recommended graphic settings and it is typically all very high to ultra. On ARMA 3, I get around the same frames and frame drops when I play all on Ultra or all on Low. If I look at my task manager while playing the games, none of my components, save my disk sometimes, goes above 50% usage.
CPU: i5-4460 (3.2 GHz)
GPU: MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4g
RAM: 8gb Corsair Vengeance LP
MOBO: MSI Z97 PC MATE ATX LGA1150
HDD: 1TB WD Blue
PSU: Cosair CS750M
OS: Windows 10
Drivers are all updated (according to device manager)
Have tried overclocking GPU w/ afterburner (little difference)
Canyourunit shows I should have no problems at all with my games
4 Cores unparked
I first thought my CPU would bottleneck, but it seems as though my resources are not fully being used
Something must be wrong given my computer should easily be able to handle medium-high settings on games while obtaining a constant 60 FPS
