good Pc random fps drops in csgo from 200 fps+ to 50 fps

really good specs get 200 fps in csgo one round next round immediatly drop to 50 fps and next round back up to 200 im in fullscreen and when i go back to desktop and minimize csgo then back into csgo i get higher fps then i had. Also my cpu is usually only at 8 percent while playing csgo ? plz help

Higher framerates in CS:GO are actually more because of the GPU. It could be that it is temporarily overheating and throttling to prevent damage. To check this please could you tell me the CPU and GPU along with the power supply.

Both AMD and NVidia use software and I believe they can both be used to limit the framerates. I have an R9 280X and was running CS:GO at around 210 FPS but because my GPU was getting into the high 60s in degrees Celcius and heating my leg up I limited my framerate to 120.

If your GPU is getting to around 90 degrees Celcius then this may be the issue depending on the model. 110 FPS still gives smoother gameplay than default vsync for most monitors but should prevent thermal throttling.

Yeah, the actual system should be able to run it ridiculously well. What wattage power supply do you have? If you don't know then it probably says on the side of it.

May I suggest going into the NVidia Control Panel and try seeing if there is a way to limit the fps to say, 120 as I had in my previous post.

Once you have done that please can you reply with the results of it; i.e. did it work or even make a slight difference. Hope this helps
