Using my Xfinity internet I get 10mbps download, 40 ping, 5mbps upload on speedtest.net and no jitter or ping problems on pingtest.net, but when I play multiplayer games like Overwatch or CSGO my ping will sometimes spike from 50 to upwards of 1000 for long periods of time.
I thought this might be to do with bandwidth from roommates streaming, but now I tried using mobile hotspot where I get 40 ping and 40mbps download, 6mbps upload and I am still having ping spikes (not as bad but it goes to 200 a lot making multiplayer games pretty unplayable).
Using mobile hotspot worked for a few days, but now I still get ping spikes pretty frequently. I live right by a cell tower and always get full bars and LTE, so I don't understand why I'm having these problems.
My PC is a desktop gaming pc that I built last year.
