good psu for gtx 970

Is xfx pro 550watt core edition full wired 80+ bronze modular psu is good for gigabyte/asus gtx 970 4gb and i5 4690k.i don't want to overclock my pc now.

A 9 on this site means it's pretty good. Just don't expect to be able to OC the GPU extremely or the GPU and CPU at the same time with that voltage.

Yes that's good PSu and will have no problem powering that system.

The XFX Core Edition is certainly suitable for mild overclocking. You should look for the following:

Stock / Mild Overclocking - Voltage regulation within ATX spec of 5.0% w/ Jonnyguru performance rating of 8.5
Moderate Overclocking - Voltage regulation within 3.0% w/ Jonnyguru performance rating of 9.0
High Overclocking - Voltage regulation within 2.0% w/ Jonnyguru performance rating of 9.5
Extreme Overclocking - Voltage regulation within 1.0% w/ Jonnyguru performance rating of 10.0

The voltage regulation on this unit is borderline.

But we once again see unusual +12V regulation that goes up when the PSU is taxed. At least this time, the voltage [+4.57] remained in specification [+/- 5.0] at all times (although barely during the first crossload test). So for performance, the 550W is getting a 8.5.
