Im currently on a budget build and looking at H81 Micro motherboards.

I have went trough the motherboard tier list but it seems that all h81 micro mobo's do not come with a VRM Heatsink.
Will this be a big problem?

Particularly looking at H81M-ECO

CPU: i3-4170
GPU: GTX 960

The main problem is that a lot of H81 chipset motherboards are going to need a BIOS update before recognising that Haswell refresh CPU, the board you're looking at would need a BIOS update.

The lack of a VRM heatsink is a non-issue really as you're not going to be overclocking and putting much stress at all on the VRM.

I would suggest spending less on the GPU here and more on the motherboard, or just go with a Haswell CPU.

EDIT: You could also try contacting the retailer that you're going to be making the purchase from and ask them to update the BIOS (if needed).
