My build is coming in tomorrow, one of the main reasons I'm upgrading is due to my XFX rx 460 2G
GPU capacitor blew up a few days ago. I had problems with it day one with the drivers crashing all the time regardless of the drivers I used or under clocking it. I'm not sure if this was a faulty GPU (which I'm RMAing) or a bad PSU. Currently I have a EVGA 600W 80+B non modular PSU. Its only had use for less than a year, but I've heard complaints of this particular model.

What would be a good price-to-performance PSU? I have a computer shop a block away and it may come down to me buying from them as I need to use the computer today. If it comes to changing the PSU what are some name brands I can trust?

***I just called them and they have a 650W Thermaltake and a 750W Thermaltake $65 and $80 respectively***

*****The 650W is the Litepower the 750W the smart standard*****

My Build:
MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon
Ryzen 5 1600 (Will OC to 3.7Ghz)
DDR4 G. Skill Ripjaws V Series 3200 2x8G
RX 580 8G
WD Green 500TB 7200RPM
EVGA 600W 80+B (possibly?)
Fractal Design Mini C silent case

Thanks again!

Well unfortunately your local PC shop is all out of quality units. the Litepower would actually be a downgrade from your EVGA (it's a solytech), and the Smart standard is only a slight improvement over your existing PSU - you'd be moving from a HEC unit to a CWT.

I would use your evga for a few days and spend the $80 online getting a quality unit:

Like I said the card comes in today and I need to do work. I also had the latest driver update for the rx 460 as the capacitor blew up yesterday.

Would the Thermaltake 650W Litepower or 750W the smart standard be a good choice?
