Corsair, OCZ, and kingston are among the top brands.

In all honestly, unless you are choosing a brand that is not heard of you should be fine as most offer a good warranty period should any issue arise.

I recommend the Corsair Vengeance2x4GB 1600MHz. Been using it since 2011, no problem whatsoever. Also has an unnecessarily long warranty 😀

Does it matter if it's 1600MHz of 2133MHz?

IMO not at all, unless you're doing extremely hardcore editing and rendering stuff, but then you'd be getting 32 or 64GB for that type of tasks.

8GB (2x4GB sticks) is the sweet spot for gaming.

Low latency DDR3 1600 or 1866 for a CPU + GPU system.

Low latency DDR3 2133-2400 for an AMD APU.

AMD, Kingston, Crucial, Corsair, Muskkin, G.Skill, OCZ and AData are all good choices.

I totally agree with maddogfargo, since with an APU your RAM would essentially also work as your VRAM. However it's better to get a good CPU and a great GPU and great RAM than an excellent APU and blazing fast RAM since the first option would still be way better at gaming (assuming you don't have a GeForce 210 lol)

It has been proven many times that the ram's latency (MHz) is not nearly as important as its capacity (GB's), especially for tasks like gaming.
