Good Ram Upgrade?

Hey guys, I have an Asus B85MG R2.0 Motherboard, compatible with 1600 clocked ram, I was thinking if this was a good ram upgrade .. ? Also the voltage is 1.35 volts, instead of 1.5 .. is that okay?

This is the ram i was looking to get, it's VERY cheap, has good ratings, a lot of people like Mushkin, also it's two sticks instead of one. The reason I am upgrading is because I lag a lot on GTA 5 and i think it's because i'm using old ram, from my mother's computer (4gb's), from a very old walmart prebuilt PC, do you guys think the upgrade will help?

RAM at 1.35V is better, if anything. Higher voltages allow higher clocks, so it might be able to run even faster at 1.5V. Old RAM is more often rated at 1.65V, which is above what Intel recommends actually running.

That memory kit should do fine. Whether it fixes your in-game performance depends on whether the slowdowns are actually caused by a memory bottleneck.

Before I start, as builder, I wanna say please dont cheap out on any parts as everything works hand in hand. From the psu to ram, to even case fans.

For a ram that has a standard voltage of 1.35volts and have to be oced to 1600mHz, I can assume this is either an old ram or a garbage. Im sorry I cant open the link as I am at work and newegg is blocked. An upgrade will surely help your rig, instead of gettin and that ram and set it up, to avoid the hassle I suggest you get either the G skill ripjaws 1600mHz (2x4) or the Corsair Vengeance 1600mHz (2x4). Both are set up at 1.5v. No need to do some timings and all that.

So ram at 1.35 volts isn't good.. ? I thought Mushkin was good, the reviews are good and everything too. :O

Should i just get these for two more dollars?
And even if i turn down my graphics, i still get stuttering, i check my Ram usage and it goes crazy around 90% + , it's kind of upsetting.. do you think that's what's causing stuttering?

just reminder, u need 64bit OS to use 4 gif of rams and above...

edit: as for voltage.. 1.35v is newer standard, 1.5v is older, 1.65 is much older...
new fabrication allow lower voltage hence more efficient, save energy, etc..

but it's the best to keep the voltage as same as motherboard and processor recommendation/spec,
so it will not taxing the memory controller...
using other than recommended working voltage will have bad effect in long runs..
