So i am using a Phenom II x4 955 BE, and i know i can go 3.5 stable without raising voltages. Would it be worth it to try for a higher clock?
My cpu temps usually sit around 40c at 3.5 full load.
Using Hyper 212 EVO

Solution
you can hit 3.6-3.8 GHz on 1.38v - 1.42v depending on how good the voltage regulation is on your board. keep the CPU temp under 62°C and the Core temp at or under 55°C. Anything over the 55°c on the core temp the CPU will start to become unstable.

My Phenom II 965be was able to hit 4.073 GHz on 1.392V w/ Hyper 212 evo in a high air flow case but with great voltage regulation and I hit the lottery for a great OCing chip. It is not unreasonable to expect what I mentioned on the 955 on air with a good motherboard.

You could push it a little more... up until you hit 60C under load. Then you may wanna drop the OC just a bit.
