Good sniper game?

Hello,

I'm looking for a good sniper-theme game to play. I've never actually played one, but I do enjoy sniper missions on other games and I'm getting curious. So can anyone recommend a sniper game with good gameplay and medium-good graphics?

Sniper: Ghost Warrior by citysoft (with GW2 coming sometime this year)
Snipers Elite (as mozart mentioned, recently released on Steam)

There was one more sniper series game, I cannot recall the name right now

As these guys are saying- Sniper Elite V2 came out the last couple of days. It's in WWII, but has some sweet bullet cam views and shows the gruesome damage the enemies take. Yon get the 1st one for $10 or less, but it won't run on newer OS's. I haven't played either one of these- just read up on them.

Sniper Ghost Warrior is set in modern day times. It also has cool bullet cam views. It has pretty damn good graphics and can be had for $20 or less these days. I bought it Day One- hope that helps some.

Thanks, I'll probably stick to V2, as I'm running Win7. I hope there is no significant story that I'll miss out on 😀

Sniper Elite V2 is the way to go. Only problem I have with the game is that there are ONLY 4 multiplayer maps at launch. Otherwise it is a fun game - and that bullet cam rocks.

I tried them both out and Sniper Elite had really good gameplay. Ghost Warrior is kind of "meh", but still pretty fun. Thanks for the recommendations!

If you want to go old school then there is the Hidden and Dangerous series (one of which (Deluxe?) is free) that is great fun. HD2 fixes most of the (usually amusing) bugs from the first game. The co-op missions are fantastic fun. One of my favorite games of all time

I also have Sniper Elite V2, but for various reasons have only been able to play it for 10 minutes, but it looks very good.
