Hey all. I was browsing around newegg for an aftermarket CPU cooler, and I noticed there was barely anything to choose from. I was hoping you guys could suggest me a CPU cooler for a socket AM3+ mobo for around 50-70 bucks. Thanks :sol:

Also; I have no preferred website

If you want the best of the best than the Thermaltake Water 2.0 Performer is the way to go!According to its review at hardwaresecrets its just as good as the Corsair H100.And the best part is it costs only half of the price!

But before you even consider it make sure your case supports water cooling.

The second cooler you should take a look at is the Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme. It's a pretty nice looking cooler that will keep you CPU very "Cool & Quiet"

This is the third cooler im going to show you.Its cooling performance on AMD platforms is very very good almost rivaling water coolers...

Cooling - Thermaltake > Xigmatek > Tuniq
Silence - Tuniq > Xigmatek > Thermaltake
(all set to MAX)

Still though if your case is compatable you should probably get the Thermaltake Water 2.o Performer

Thanks a lot! I think I'm going to go with the Tuniq. It's very stylish and you said it was quiet, which is great. Being my first build, I don't wanna go anywhere NEAR water cooling until I'm confident I won't screw up :p. Thanks again :]
