Hey there I have just recently (2 days ago) built my gaming rig. And when i'm playing Batman: Arkham Night (poorly optimized game) It's a bad example. but I cannot seem to get good fps. or even decent fps. (With most games)

Pc Specs

Windows 10
EVGA GTX 980 4GB Super Clocked (SC)
16GB Quad Channel / 2400 MHz DDR4 Ripjaws
MSI x99s Gaming ack 9 Motherboard
i7 5820k 3.3 ghz Intel CPU / 6 Cores
1000Watt Corsair Power supply...

Storage
128GB ADATA 2.5 GB's
2TB TOSHIBA HD

Well on Batman i get 40 and it stutters
and on minecraft i get 60 dropping to say 40 35 ish.
fps i was hoping around the 90s or even 100.

Do you have v-sync on in Minecraft? And stop using batman as an example. It does not run well on anything; the game is broken.

What could i use to test it? And i haven't been using v-sync

Only game out of that list i got is CS:GO and that game would it be too intense on the graphics would it. it doesn't look like ti at least.
with those specs what am i supposed to be getting any ideas?

Here, i'll compare your computer to mine, i have a i7 4770K, a GTX 970, and 16gb of ram. I should be getting worse results.

steam://install/231350 (This should go straight to the downloader for the demo, if not, search 3Dmark on steam and get the demo, its free)

Edit: Here are my results from the regular fire strike demo

9334 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970(1x) and Intel Core i7-4770K
Graphics Score 10869
Physics Score 10220
Combined Score 4265

If you can beat that, or get similar results to that, your pc is fine.

-----------------------This is my score----------------------
Score 12 402
Graphics Score 14 289
Graphics Test 1 67 FPS
Graphics Test 2 57 FPS

Physics Score 15 453
49 FPS <---------------- This one scared me

Combined Score 5 425
Combined Test 25FPS <---------- And This one

Honestly i thought it would be better i guess i had too high expectations for my specs.... sucks

Your computer is fine. The test is running in 4K on ultra, so it makes sense that you didn't hit 30fps, dont worry its normal
