Good specs but bad performance on some games

Hello!

I seem to have encountered a problem of sorts.
Here are my specs:

Tried to add as much info as possible. Forgive me if I have added some trivial info in some of the pics.

So, basically, some games seem to not run as smoothly and impressively as expected.

EX:

Battlefield 4: 30-40 fps, at one point around 20 and almost below
Shogun 2 Total War: works pretty smooth but at certain moments, like when soldiers clash together, it drops a bit below 60-50

If there is a problem, is it possible for any of you to try to guess what it might be? I'd appreciate an answer and maybe also a way to solve my problem. I'll try to add additional info, should any of you require any more.

P.S. sorry if it might be in the wrong section, but I just joined in for this particular reason.

Okay those aren't the best way to show us all the info we look for. You should use SPECCY, which also includes TEMPERATURES when idle, which can be a problem among many answers.

The basics: Run SPECCY post them and the temps IDLE? Install MSI AFTERBURNER, during these 'heavy times' what are your temps?
Open the PC, dust it out with canned air, then use a paint brush on the vents, fans, grills, etc.
What AV do you use? If none or if MSE (remove Microsoft Security Essentials) go to www.filehippo.com and install then run a FULL SCAN with AVAST! or AVG.
Download and run FULL SCAN with MALWAREBYTES (Malware is different then viruses)
Download and run Slim Drivers, and see if you have all the latest drivers

If still problem not solved, when things get harried then do a CTRL ALT DEL and run TaskManager, click the checkbox at the bottom of TM, then click CPU to sort by CPU, do you have something 'busy' going on when playing?
You indicated Shogun 2 Total War, is this problem during INTERNET play ONLY or also when in Single Player scenarios? Same for BF4, MP maps or SP maps or both?

It all happened while on singleplayer.

AV: ESET NOD32, ran a full scan and got like 17 infiltrations, managed to clean only 15 (I think the other 2 are non-harmful programs). About malware, I am using Advanced SystemCare 7 and I always use it for cleaning my system (it also has the "malware removal option"). I hope that is any good.

Downloaded and upgraded some of the drivers by using Slim Drivers.

Afterburner on BF4 (took screen after closing game):

When I ALT+TAB at one point while running BF4 in game my screen went black then got back on and it had shown me an error at the lower right corner saying something like "display had stopped working" or something like that (I did not have the chance to take a screen). But, simply.. just look at that 99% GPU usage..

I have also noticed today, around 1-2 hours ago, that when windows asks me permission to access a program or w/e my screen froze. Friend of mine said possible overheat but I am not really sure.

P.S. I'll have you know that I am pretty bad when it comes to hardware/software, so.. yeah, bare with me. TT_TT

Uhm if NOD came up with 2 more then while the 'program' may have been okay, the 'code' written in it now IS NOT, it is infected, and you need to remove them. AC for malware is garbage, I had advanced care and it caused more problems (especially when it 'cleaned' my PC) then it resolves. Download Malwarebytes, you can run as many antimalware as you like, only ONE Antivirus though, and there is probably more infecting your system that Malwarebytes will find considering you found some through NOD.

That would be first. Second I did mention about the canned air and clearing out the dust? Did you do that yet? Your temps are doubling from idle to BF4 before you exited, and that is quite alot, are you sure your computer has enough airflow (i.e. it isn't in a desk shelf covering the vents so no airflow goes through)? I am more betting there is a horde of dist bunnies inside.

The GPU was installed 2 days ago so I made sure that the inside is clean. The computer is not in a desk (not anymore ever since I installed the new GPU), so that's not the problem. I have to say that the GPU is from Gigabyte (rebuilt): http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4839#ov

Some of my friends were actually suggesting that the problem might be misplaced cables or anything like that. Could that be a possibility?

NO they do not. They 'make' the board and use the chipset to the design specification AMD/Nvidia state for the product model, but then they make the changes specific to what they wish as 'end producers' to grab marketshare. For example better cooling, higher clock rate, etc. These are NOT refurbish and I dont' think you understand the term correctly.

Refurbish means to take a exisiting 'thing' and clean it up and repair it, this has LEGAL consequences and they can not sell them as 'NEW'. It must be labelled and advertised as refurbished, as in this case

http://outlet.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/outlet_us/LenovoPortal/en_US/catalog.workflow:expandcategory?current-catalog-id=A4A41B4CA13D4754AE2FBF7721EBF357&current-category-id=65222AF4E7DB7DC2DA7A7B4C38141FD8&menu-id=products&ref-id=products#/?page-index=1

Lenovo makes computers http://www.lenovo.com/us/en/ but a percent are sent back to Lenovo for various reasons, be it failed system, or something like the Laptop Battery issue companies had before (they overheated and caught fire). Also when they stop making a model, sometimes the end stores can't "sell" the last models and can't reduce the price (legal reason) to 'fire sell' the item (notice how only after Microsoft said it was okay did Dell, etc. reduce the cost of the Win8 Tablet?) so they send them back to Lenovo for 'credit' and now Lenovo is stuck with them, so they 'refurb' as listed above to finally 'sell them off'.

That all clarified, does your purchase order state your buying a REBUILT GPU? If so then you 'bought' a refurbished GPU and that was a VERY BAD idea and most LIKELY the problem (the card was defective before, they thought they fixed it, and NOPE it still defective).
