PC Specs:
AMD Ryzen 5 2600
Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700xt
Asus ROG Strix b450-f gaming
Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 2x16 3200mhz
Some other Corsair Vengeance Ram 2x8 3200mhz
Corsair CXM 550W ATX Power Supply

I want to increase my fps in games such as fortnite and valorant and I'm looking for a good upgrade plan from this setup. My main goals is to get a good playable framerate that doesn't suffer terribly from streaming and recording my gameplay. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great :)

Solution
My definition of fine is 144 fps consistently so not really? Streaming doesn't drop my frames terribly though only like 10-20 i believe? But I would still like to upgrade just to have a smooth experience in both.
Ah ok, that makes sense now, I was trying to understand why you would have problems with Fortnite on a 2600. It's really down to how much you want to spend, if you don't want to spend too much then dropping a 3700X in there if a 5800X is not an option would be a significant improvement over what you've got. If your able and willing to invest in a new board as well then a B550 and a 5800X would be a huge improvement. The latter is about twice as powerful as your 2600 and Zen 3 is much better at high refresh rate gaming...
If your looking for an easy upgrade, i.e. don't want to rip out everything you've got. Then my advice would be to get the 5800X or don't waste your time. Don't go from a 6 core chip to an admittedly much better 6 core chip. Get the 8 cores and make it worth your while. If you want to stream as well those extra 2 cores will help you.

Does my Asus ROG Strix b450-f gaming support the 5800x?

I just assumed it did tbh, I've just had a look at the bios list on the Asus site and it doesn't mention Ryzen 5000. Might be worth dropping an email to Asus to double check if you are interested in sticking with your current board. Alternatives are the Ryzen 3000 CPU's like the 3700X or 3900X (almost impossible to get where I live now). Can I ask, does Fortnite and Valorant play fine when you are not streaming?

I don't believe I mentioned my ram running at 3600mhz?
Sorry not sure why I thought 3600mhz. 3200mhz still seems unlikely for a R5 2600 with mixed RAM kits. If it is actually running at 3200mhz you have been lucky. There are lots of threads on hear where a 2000 series cpu won't run over 2933/3000 without mixing kits. If your RAM is actually running at 2400mhz then you are loosing a chunk of performance compared to 2933/3000.

If you don't mind selling your soul then the new 12600K would also be a good fit for your use case.
