So, I'm hoping someone has some suggestions or recommendations. I'm in Canada.
I would really like to get a hub that can do the following:
Power on/off per port
Support a usb portable hdd (Seagate GoFlex 750GB, at the oldest). My current one keeps losing power, even though in theory I'm subsidizing the hub for 2A (Its original adapter was 1A, but I cobbled together a USB->Barrel plug I'm running from a 2A charger). Prior it wasn't able to sustain the drive when it did anything involved like copying either.
5+ ports?
I don't want to spend a fortune though. I've had not great luck with the Chinese offerings I've tried, so I'll spend more, but $50 or $60 for a hub is absolutely ludicrous. Does anyone have any suggestions they know of closer to the $25 range?
