My ADATA SU650 is starting to die on me which is making me question how much I know about the reliability of SSD brands...

I'm thinking I might as well switch to a 480GB M.2. It can be plain green PCB, I just want something with great value that's gonna be faster than SATA.

I'm hearing stuff about the 660p using an SLC cache which dramatically decreases the read/write times once that cache is used up? It looks like ADATA has critically acclaimed M.2s as well but I'm a little hesitant considering mine is failing within a year. (I'll have to see how the RMA process works out...)

Get Samsung, its the easy answer for a reason, you cant go wrong. I'm sure someone will chime in and say some other brand is just as good but look at the reviews for yourself. We've been buying samsung SSD for work and weve had nothing but good things to say about them. I have 850 pro, 860 evo, 970 evo, and 960 evo, all run great.

OK, just checking. You mention you currently have a SATA based m.2
Not all motherboards can also take an NVMe based drive.

The Samsung 970 EVO would be the default choice.
