Hello!

Very recently I got a notification that someone had tried to access my Google Account from another device. For safety reasons, I logged out of all my devices. Big mistake.

Back when I made my email, I made the mistake of setting that same email as the recovery account.
While I had activated 2FA, I had changed my phone number and I didn't update that in my Google Account. Second mistake.

I tried account recovery, but it's sending me in a very confusing loop.
When I try to log in, it sends a verification code - I ask for another way, and it tells me the following:

To help keep your account secure, Google needs to confirm that this account belongs to you.
To recover your account, try again to sign in:
  • Answer as many questions as you can
  • Use a device where you’ve signed in before
  • Choose a familiar Wi-Fi network, such as at home or work

So I try to sign in... and we're back to the same as before - it asks me for verification code, I ask for another way, and that message shows up yet again. There's no questions to be answered anywhere.

Is there any way I can recover this account?
I haven't found any threads anywhere with this exact problem, so I can't follow any troubleshooting steps.
