Oh man when I read the title I thought it was about an AI answering an AMA on those topics mentioned.
I was like oh boy humans will be replaced very soon by machines if it's true.
It makes me wonder how many advanced civilizations in the Universe have been replaced at some point by their AI. It's probably the most likely candidate that humans or our AI will meet in the future unless we wipe the planet with nukes in an attempt to turn the AI off.

That's one possible explanation for the Fermi Paradox. There are many others.

IMO, no human will ever contact extra-terrestrial intelligence. The distances are too great and interstellar travel is too hard (probability of something going wrong ^ amount of time required = almost certain failure). It'll be some form of silicon-based life or robots we build, and probably won't happen until long after we're gone.

If we do send out DNA-based life, it'll probably be genetically-engineered creatures that would regard us the same way that we perceive chimpanzees.
