Hey there, firstly, I'd like to thank you for opening this post, and I appreciate any help that you may leave!
I recently built a new computer running windows 8.1 Pro 64bit..
Specs
I7-4790k @ 4ghz (no overclock)
Palit GTX 970
8gb HyperX RAM
240gb Kingston SSD
2TB seagate HDD
ASUS X97 Mark 2 Motherboard
750W CX750M Corsair power supply
My problem: Whenever I load google chrome, pages do not load at all - just get the loading circle.. After a few minutes I'm told that the connection timed out. Both firefox and IE work perfectly fine, although my favourite browser is Chrome.
I had a similar problem on my old PC. When I built this PC, chrome appeared to be working fine, although now I am encountering problems.
I've tried restarting my PC, and restarting my router. This seemed to work as a temporary fix, for a minute or two, but this did not work as a permanant solution.
I have tried to go into internet settings to disable going through a proxy server, although this did not do anything to resolve my problem. Also, chrome is not blocked at all in my firewall, as far as I am aware.
Thanks for reading, Alex.
