Google chrome is ajusting my mic level. HELP!

I'm trying to record a video and when I get the the part when I open up google chrome, the mic boosts to 33 and then autoajust to random numbers as I talk. I just want it to be locked on the level that I want. Why is google chrome doing this. Using blue snowball.

For what I remember, Chrome had an option for "Voice search", so probably that is what is happening.

Have you scanned for virus or malware or spyware.
