Google Chrome Lag When Playing Minecraft

First off, I have a Titan X, and I usually get 700+ fps in Minecraft. That many frames puts the GPU under heavy load, and for whatever reason, in Google Chrome and only in google chrome, I get type lag (where there is a delay between typing and characters appearing onscreen) amongst other with tab switching. This only happens if I have minecraft running in the background. Why would Google chrome have this issue and no other program/ browser? Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks

Hard to say.
Try capping Minecraft with VSYNC (i.e. 60FPS on 60Hz monitor) and see how that affects things.

Turning on VSYNC does work but id prefer not to use it. Mainly what I want to know is if it's a GPU issue or a Chrome issue. My Titan X is under pretty heavy load when playing Minecraft, and it easily reaches its target temp. of 83 degrees. My CPU (5960x) and ram arent being taxed that heavily (cpu is hovers around 24% load and im using around 5 gb of 16gb of ram). It just doesn't make sense how my system can be under such load because of Minecraft, and how that could cause lag in other areas.
