Google Chrome not using much network

Done speed test and have a download of around 30-35 mbps, yet task manager is showing google chromes network usage is 1mbps, even though I have loads of tabs open and loading video.

nothing hardware-wise should be problem on my pc and I haven't changed any network settings so what can i do to make it faster?

any help appreciated

Your PC only uses as much bandwidth as it needs. Having a bunch of tabs open doesn't matter if they've all already loaded, and the video you're loading is probably highly compressed and therefore doesn't require much bandwidth. If things are loading slowly, it's more likely to be a) your PC is slow or, b) the the website is slow.

I find some websites load like crap pretty much no matter what you do, typically the ones with lots of ads, or with lots of images and auto-loading video

Like TJ said. Chrome only uses what it needs and the websites only give out what they've been set to on their end. For example a website on a lousy connection on its end will always be slow to load no matter how fast the connection is on your end.
