When I started using my laptop after my exams, I opened google chrome (my regular browser) and Google.com just wouldn't load, It opened in Internet Explorer. But thats not the main problem..

Everytime i open Chrome it was just hang my whole system, everything would freeze.
I also tried Chrome in Windows 8 mode and that also hung the system. I had to wait for a while and then terminate the non responsive chrome via the task manager...

Even after uninstalling and reinstalling I experience the same problems..
Please Help!!

Hey buddy, take a look at you internet options. Go to control panel > view network status and tasks > internet options. You should see "http://google.com/" or something very similar. I am looking at it right now in my computer running chrome. If it say something funky you have been redirected. Click on it, delete it, and type in as I stated above. Post back if this does not work and we can continue, this should not be a big deal.

6 GB RAM, and i Just opened chrome and within seconds it would freeze.

and no @gferrin2012 the internet options wasn't something else it was my regional google site, but i still changed it to google.com.

After doing this chrome would still hang, and freeze. So i had to terminate the program via task manager
