Question Google Chrome OS download

Where/how can I download an official Chrome OS USB installer? I understand that Google supplies the OS with the Chromebook devices, but what about when you need to replace or upgrade the SSD? It's crazy to me that I can't simply Google "Chrome OS installer" and find a simple link direct from Google right at the top of the search.

Google doesn't supply build of Chrome OS to the public, however there is https://www.chromium.org/chromium-os/chromium-os-faq

Well that sucks for the public! I'm my case, I'm actually a computer technician who services chromebooks under warranty for a large school district. I've got devices whose SSD'S have broken and now I need to install the OS onto the new ones.
