Google Chrome stops responding after a while and would not open back up

So this morning I started up my Windows PC and opened up Chrome. It was working well for a few minutes, but all of a sudden, it completely froze (just google chrome, not my entire pc). So i decided to open up the task manager and close chrome from there. After i closed down the window, I tried relaunching chrome, but it didn't open up. So I restarted my pc, and then chrome was working when i tried again but after a few minutes the same thing happened.. Chrome started to not respond, I closed it, and it wouldn't open back up. I've tried restarting many times, but the same thing kept happening over and over again. I also tried to reinstall chrome and reset it's settings, but it kept doing the same thing.

This never happened with any other program, and I have a pretty good PC and chrome doesn't take up much of my RAM or CPU usage, so I don't know what the problem is. Please help me.. I would really appreciate it

tried running an anti virus or malware scanner?

tried doing a clean boot and see if it still happens - careful to read instructions, don't disable any windows services or it may not start: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

if it does fix it, its likely a startup program is cause, slowly re add them to find what is to blame
