if you're getting so many the pc is unusable then you probably have some kind of adware/malware on your pc. pop-ups are ne thing but so many the pc is almost unusable is not normal at all.

is it just when chrome is running or any other time? if it is just chrome then you can start disabling add-ons until you figure out what one is causing the problem and then delete it. if it other times as well then a good anti-virus and malware scan is needed to try and get rid of the problem.

Download Malwarebytes and run a scan, Download Superantispyware and run a quick scan, Download Adwcleaner and run a scan. Open Google Chrome, Go to extensions and remove any suspicious extensions, Download Adblock from the Chrome web store. No more ads!

You can also make sure that your connection is set to obtain dns servers automatically.
