I've been using the Google Drive app for Windows 10 for many months (in mirroring mode). Until now it has always synced shared folders (i.e. folders which have been shared with me by another Google account holder). However in the last few days this has stopped - only folders created by my own Google account are being synced to my hard drive. How can I get shared folders/files to start syncing again?

This:

"Until now it has always synced shared folders (i.e. folders which have been shared with me by another Google account holder)"

My underline.

Maybe that account holder no longer wishes to share. Or the host system/network is down.....

Have you contacted that Google account holder?

I am the other account holder (I have two Google accounts)

Regarding:

"I am the other account holder.....".

You originally posted "another Google account holder."

Plus " folders created by my own Google account".

My underlines. All indications being that someone else's Google account is/was involved.

Forum rules prohibit assistance with regards to security and access rights - e.g., gaining/regaining access to a formerly shared and synched folder.

In any case, there is no way to know the truth of the matter from this end.

Double check the Windows/Google access priviledges granted to the folders/files in question.

Contact Google for assistance with your accounts.
