Its a much bigger issue that people are casually broadcasting this to anyone who wants it.... Than that google drove by and happened to grab idiots data on unsecured networks

Say what you will about EU commissions, but they certainly try to protect individual rights over corporate privilege.
Other than a few odd cases (MS browser choice springs to mind), I feel they are doing a fairly good job to this point.
