Question Google Home alternative...

Recently my sister got me a Google Home Min to use with my new FIOS WiFi.

However, I could not use it because it required a smartphone to download an App. My phone is a flip-phone with no internet access...just a phone.

Is there a Home assistant, similar to Google, where I can use my home computer to set it up, instead of using a Smartphone App?

I just need a smart speaker device that I can set up using my desktop computer, not a smartphone app.

You could technically find an older used Android smartphone and utilize it to manage the app without the phone actually being connected or data plan....

This might be difficult. Most smart speakers use WIFI, but have no user interface to setup the WIFI. You might have to borrow the use of a smart phone for setup.

You can use Bluestacks 5 on a PC to simulate a smartphone and use apps on a computer.

Sometime you just can't get around the app wanting a smart phone to use a device.

I use to post things from my computer on offerup as you NEED a smart phone if you want to list things for sale.
