The Windows Update team is garbage. They haven't produced reasonable documentation for their patches for years. They sneak things like the "get Windows 10" application in as "important updates" and push them many times. They just exude dishonesty and incompetence. Behind the aggressive advertising/data collection, poor update support is the single biggest reason I'm eager to move to a new operating system.

Google always patches Android.

The problem is, manufacturers rarely do merge those patches in their devices.

Wish some state agency would force companies to deliver critical updates for internet enabled devices. But that's wistful thinking, specially now that the GOP is pursuing deregulation.
