I had issues with two laptops in my home. A Dell XPS 13 and an HP Pavillian Plus 14, both running Windows 11. I have an Orbis mesh router connected to a 600 mps fiber. When I went to google homepage, Gmail wasn't available. Also, I entered a search in the google search box and nothing would happen. I would get the "not connected" message. However, bookmarked links worked just fine. It was only the laptops via wifi. My desktop, which has an ethernet connection, and is on Windows 10, didn't have an issue.
I tried deleting cookies, etc., and then removed and reinstalled Chrome, but that didn't fix the problem.
I finally did a ResetThis PC in Windows 11. I also rebooted the router.
One or the other, or both, fixed the issue.
Does anyone have any idea what could have caused the problem? Strange that bookmarked items worked, that the laptops had wifi, but that google search and gmail did not work.
At this point I'm just looking for an explantion.
