My dream is to play Borderlands 3 without having to buy a gaming computer.

1) I can't find information on Stadia working with Macs.

2) Can a game run natively at 2560 x 1600 resolution? I notice that Mac laptops have a more square screen than, say, a Dell 13" XPS.

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016)
2 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5
8 GB 1867 MHz LPDDR3
Intel Iris Graphics 540 1536 MB
2560 x 1600

Thanks for any input.

1. Unless the app that runs it is developed for Mac I would say currently no. Right now it looks like it will focus on PC, iOS and Android.

2. Depends on the game. For example Doom Eternal is said to be set to run at 4K for it. So it will depend on the game it seems.

FYI if you want to play Boarderlands 3 without having to buy a gaming PC you can get t on PS4 or XBox One for much less than a gaming PC.

I would get a console -- already have a great TV and sound system -- but I find the controllers unworkable.

I guess I'll just get an entry-level Dell XPS then. Which is still great news -- if Stadia works, this Dell will be good to go for a long time. As opposed to a $2500 Razor that can play the newest games at max resolution for only a couple of years.
