Got a 4tb nas from amazon instead of a 2tb internal note hdd keep it or return? I don't know how NAS works or how to use it, is there any way I can connect it to my laptop? Was just wondering if this was a new years gift or a delay
Just wanted a drive for backups but I got this
Is there any adapter I can use to use this as a storage drive or an external hdd

You can use it just fine as an external HDD. Any enclosure for a 3.5" HDD will work.

wow, you can even connect it to your phone or tablet. but to do that you need usb type-A female to usb type-C male adapter: (if your phone is type-C)
