Hi! So I was applying thermal paste to my processor and a small amount of it got on the bottom. I wiped it off with a napkin to the point where I could see no more of it, and the processor appears to be working fine now.

I am using diamond made thermal paste.

My question is: Is it necessary to take it back out and use alcohol on it? Will I see problems or decreased performance if there is some left on the bottom?

U really don't need to unless you applied a lot of thermal paste , cause as you are saying that some of it got out of the bottom and generally good thermal paste don't go down your processor , as they a dry by themselves and when you are using the CPU just watch that cpu temp does not go beyond 75c , that's all
