I have a rosewill RG700-S12 power supply which is 700 w etc. But I already have 1 - 2x6 pin connector to 8 pin. But I need another 8 pin for the GPU to function. It is a 1070 TI , could I use a molex adapter to do this safely? If I am running a risk what could happen? Do I need to use a certain wire running from my psu? Please help asap.

Absolutely. If you bought a brand new Ferrari, you wouldn't balk at the cost of having proper comprehensive insurance, would you? It's an ancient PSU at this point, both in design and chronological age, and it doesn't have the proper connectors; molex adapters to GPUs are a common place for fires to start. When you can get top tier PSUs like the EVGA G3 and SeaSonic Focus 650s for $70, having one protect a $500 GPU and other expensive components for a decade is a complete no-brainer.

It has been serving me well , still not problems with it but, I'm just wondering if I could run a molex adapter safely for the one 8 pin connector I'm going to be missing.

6pin pcie = 75w
Molex = 40w
8pin pcie =150w

Guess how many pc fires and how much damage is caused by use of adapters in the wrong configuration.

A 2x molex is @$6. A gtx1070ti is @$500-$600. If that doesn't erase any doubt as to value of doing things right, and your choice of new psu, nothing will.
