What happened is this MSI laptop came with a 512 gb nvme ssd. It had an empty slot to put a 2.5" ssd in so I put a spare 250 gb I had. I want the latter to be the OS drive since it is smaller.

I tried re-installing from the settings but it went to the nvme ssd again. So now I'm looking in the bios but can't find it to put in the boot order. What do i do? It did appear during windows 10, and appears in the storage info section under the main tab in bios.
Here's my boot menu. edit: The one I put in is a Samsung 850, which doesn't appear.

Remove the M.2 SSD. THEN install Windows on the SATA SSD. Follow the guide below. Afterwards, you will probably want to use a third party partition tool to remove ALL of the partitions from the M.2 drive BEFORE trying to reinstall it or you'll likely confuse the system as it won't know which boot manager to use since you'll have two boot partitions that are active on two different drives.
