Got a New PC Forgot to make recoveries.....

Hey guys, I just bought a new PC that came preloaded with windows 7 and a copy of Windows 8. When I first saw the Recovery discs I figured I wouldn't need to create a recovery backup, however now I realize that the recovery discs are only for windows 8. What is a good way of going about making a recovery for my windows 7 platform? do I need to uninstall things to put it back into an "out of box state"? Kind of a stupid question I know, sorry to waste your guys' time...

If you have a serial key on the PC or with the bundled documentation, just install Windows 7 and activate it normally. You may need to contact Microsoft directly for support though.

Well All I have are the windows 8 serials, so what is the best way to make a backup I haven't done anything drastic yet, I just installed a few games through the steam client... Is it still alright to make recovery discs or should I uninstall things to make for a clear image?
