A bit ago my PSU fried after taking too much, it was a bit old, so it wasn't too much of a shock that I needed to replace it, before, the sound on my headphones were working just fine, and I had unplugged some speakers that I didn't need a month before, and sound still worked and went to the headphones, now however, once I got the PSU fitted in and re-plugged everything in, I don't hear anything, the computer still detects the headphones, and sound coming through, however I can't hear anything. The only thing other than replace the PSU the guys did was shave off a back of the computer because it was positioned incorrectly and made it hard to reach the USBs in the back, that and they helped re-power my disk drive, but nothing other than that, I tried searching for solutions but found nothing conclusive, help?

Solution
rt click the speaker icon in the system tray (lower rt corner usually) and then select Playback devies. Make sure your motherbds HD audio or your headphones is set as the default
