Hello,
Firstly I know its not going to have much affect,. I have some spare 120mm case fans from my old PC and thought why not add them to my kracken z73 CPU cooler. So im happy to get any advice however also looking for the below questions to be answered.

1.) i have a liquid cooled GPU run off the opt header can i move this the the pump header? my thinking is i can then run the newly added 3x120mm fans and run them from the opt header so they run the same speed as the CPU AIO on the CPU FAN header.

2.) The case fans I have are case fans and not static pressure fans (spec's below *1) will they have a negative effect on the Kraken z73 (spec's below *2) as the speed is different.

As i say they are just sitting around i can get a fan splitter for £3 and i thought if i has any affect on temp or noise i may as well put them to use?

Solution
1. Yes, that could work.

2. Static pressure would be ideal, but even non-static optimized fans can work on an AIO.
One thing to note though - A slower fan in the 'pull' aspect could be detrimental and just create turbulence.

In this situation, your 'old' fans are 3pin, no PWM - Molex or DC control. So they won't have the granular control of PWM or the Krakens own fans, nor will you ever get them to run similar enough to the CPU AIOs fans to not be noticeable.

More does not always = better.

I wouldn't use them here, personally - but for a 3quid investment, you could certainly try.
