Basically what the title says, got some alcohol on(in?) the ledges of my cpu while cleaning thermal paste off. It expanded in a line... yknow physics and stuff. I can't tell if that's shut off or the alcohol leaked in and just KAPOW'd that cpu from the inside so please help; here's a demonstrative picture:

Refer to the red "highlights". If any alcohol got on(please not in) that, it was 91% too so yeah thanks <3

Let the cpu outside to dry, wait for the alcohol to evaporate. You can use a hair dryer to accelerate the process. Should not take more than 2 hours. After you are certain that it is dry, put it into system and run it.

Cpu heat spreader is glued to the pcb. The alcohol should not get inside the cpu itself. Still better be cautious than left with a fried cpu.

The alcohol ontop of it when I clean it evaporates within like 15-30 seconds. I think I left the cpu inside the motherboard but I'm rmaing the the MB anyways because it's garbage. That heat spreader is hardcore glued? or like hey i'm gonna let some liquid inside glued

It is supposed to be hardcore glued. But cpus are made by machines, no human hand. Your cpu CAN have, not will have, holes in the glue. It is possible some liquid got inside. That's why i said better be cautious.

I said 2 hours without hair dryer just to be extra sure it is dry.
