I bought an AMD Rx 480 and it doesn't have a DVI d port for my monitor. my monitor is an Acer gn246hl, which is a 144hz monitor which doesn't have a DP port. so am I stuck with 60hz

Solution
1920x1200 is max resolution it is guaranteed to work at. 1920x1080 (1080p) is less than that. So no problem there.

While I can't assure you 100% that it will work (not familiar with that particular display), the specs state that it should. You are sending DP 144hz signal from the card by using the DP output.

its not on this model:https://www.newegg.com/global/in/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150771
it says x1 HDMI and 3 DP(this is my card, idk why i bought it, was cheaper i guess?)

Agh, how is this 1080p?
Use the AmazonBasics DisplayPort to DVI cable to directly connect any DisplayPort-equipped computer to any DVI-equipped HD projector or monitor. The cable works with various DisplayPort modes, including DP, DP++, and DisplayPort++, and it supports video resolutions up to 1920x1200 / 1080P (Full HD). The connection input is DisplayPort Male, output is DVI Male, and the cable only converts signals from DisplayPort to DVI (not bi-directionally).
straight from the amazon link you sent.

sorry, that was me complaining that its advertised "1080p" when it's 1920x1200.
anyway, yes I'm trying to get a DP card to work with a DVI-d output(144hz).
so that adapter will work with the 144hz refresh rate? (I know that the Rx 480 that I bought won't sync with the monitor I bought, but I don't really care about that)
