Hey yall,

I'm just about getting ready to build my first computer and several components have recently started to come in. The other day, I got a Corsair H115i AIO from Newegg delivered, but after checking the box I realized that the cooler is an older version - copyright year on the box is 2015, and it's compatible with LGA1150 (doesn't say LGA1151) and Windows 8 (doesn't say 10). After doing some googling it seems like LGA1150 coolers should also work with 1151, but I was just wondering if my older version would be inferior to the 2017 model in any way (does corsair update their AIOs significantly?). Apologies if this seems like an ignorant question, but I'm trying to decide if it would make sense to return the cooler I got for the newer version. Thanks in advance!

Solution
Copyright date on the box doesn't equal the manufacture date so I wouldn't worry about it. When the update the design they usually change the model number. The h100i was updated to h100i v2. 1150 and 1151 mounting is the same and you will want to download/update to the latest version of the Corsair link software from their site so you shouldn't have any Windows compatibility issues either.
