You guys downloaded ECP 1.085 from http://www.ofpec.com/ , yet?

AWESOME improvement to the game, though I don't like some of the sounds in
the included Dynamic Range sound pack. I may disable that.

ECP is forbidden when joining CTI servers, since it causes bugs (infinite
money etc).. I liked it when I used it, but liked JAM more so I tend to play
JAM missions for better sounds..

I have DXDLL which adds highres skies (IIRC) and reflecting water and some
more goodies, that's enough for me now..

But I'll have a go since I don't play public CTI that often anymore..

Is this the new one they just released a video for? Or has 1.085 been out
for a while?

I like DR a lot--I ended up tweaking it a bit, stealing a couple of sounds
here and there, but 90% of the sounds I use are original DRS.

Uzi, which soundpack do you use?

I'm using the DR that came with ECP 1.085 (which is new)...

I, too, would like to switch some sounds out of DR... The M60 mgun sound is
AWFUL!

And I don't like that weird radio, hollow tunnel sound when you run...

Yeah, I swapped the M60 sound out in the older DRS with the one from (I
think) Battlefield Insane.

Also, Battlefield Insane has the best vehicle sounds I've heard yet in an
OFP soundpack (they're LOUD and REAL). But, I've just downloaded the new
DRS with ECP 1.085, and I can tell that DRS has been tweaked a bit. It's
different (improved) from the DRS that used to come with ECP. I like it
better.

There's still a couple of sounds (like the M60) that probably need to be
improved (I haven't heard the thunder sound yet...again, Battlefield Insane
has the best thunder), but all-in-all, I'm damned impressed with the newer
DRS.

And, the new ECP isn't too shabby either. I've barely messed around with
it, but my initial impression is that it's incredible.

I'm downloading the FlashFX 1.9...all freakin' 780 megs of it. I'm on
dial-up, so it's going to take me like a week, downloading at nights while
I'm asleep, to get it.

FlashFX 1.9 is the newest version, yes? This thing looks like it's kind of
like the Y2K3 mod in that it replaces all the units used in OFP too.

Thats the full unit replacement pack you're downloading. Just the effects
package is only a couple of MB.

Thanks, Jaff, I'll check that out.

Nice, but crashes.

Didn't install right either, I didn't have any new gun sounds.
