Hey guys. Today I got my Gigabyte R9 280x. I want to test it, to see if it can reach fps from different reviews online. Can recommend me good GPU test (and configurations for testing)?

Okay, download MSI afterburner, it has a some good monitoring and overclocking software, plus it now comes with a stress testing suite as well. Make sure to play with the on-screen-display and get it working so you can see FPS in any games you want to try.
Then download Uningine heaven/valley, see what you get there.
Finally, download FurMark and run the stress test, it'll weed out any issues that might be hiding, plus you'll be able to see your max GPU temp under full load.

Thank you for your fast response.

I tested my gpu only on BF4 - Ultra settings, 4x AA
MIN fps: 47
MAX fps: 110

Here are Unigine Heaven 4.0 test results
Settings: 1920x1080, Ultra quality, Extreme tess, 4x AA

So, what do you think?

Nice. I've only got a 560se so that looks so good to me. 😛

What are temps is the GPU running at when the fan stops? If it's low, it might just be the fan not being needed, however if the temps aren't that low the fan might be dying.

Lately I havent noticed same problem since the last time I posted. GPU is at 40° when idle, and managed to get it maximum to 68°C when gaming

Yeah, I'm keeping my gpu cool anyway and I do realize that it shouldnt get over 85°C. But that "non-spinning" fan bugged me.

It's part of their new "features" the fans will turn on and off depending on load and temp. It's for energy saving.

I have 2 280x toxics, when I first had them installed it scared me as a semi-loud click would come on in the middle of a game. Would scare the crud out me. Clicking is not a fun sound to hear from your computer.
