I am completely lost on how to figure this one out. I want to connect two monitors to a laptop that only has one HDMI output. Needs to be multi-monitor not mirrored and would prefer if at least one of the monitors was connected by HDMI to retain the audio from the monitor speakers. Should i use a HMDI to 2x HDMI splitter or a HDMI to HDMI/VGA splitter? Will this just mirror the image? I am fairly certain that my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (MSI) laptop GPU has multi-monitor support. So is this even possible to achieve and if, so how?

Solution
With single HDMI output you can connect only single monitor (with 2x splitter you'll get same image on all connected monitors).
You can use usb to hdmi adapter to connect more monitors.
