Hey guys, so I've been thinking about selling my old setup and I have some surplus components that I would also like to put on sale, however I don't know whether I should sell an older full-setup system or swap some of those older components out with the new ones.

So, here's my old setup:
CPU amd fx 8350 4 ghz 8 cores
MB asrock 990fx killer
GPU msi radeon r9 280 gaming OC 3gb
PSU Cooler master g750m
RAM 16gb hyperx 2666mhz
CPU COOLER Cryorg h7 quad Lumi

As surplus components I have:
CPU intel i7 6800k 3.4ghz 6 cores
MB asrock x99 extreme4
PSU evga supernova 550 g2
CPU COOLER deepcool Gammaxx 400

The main question is, should I swap the older CPU, MB, PSU with these newer surplus ones and then sell the PC, or should I touch nothing at all and sell the older setup and the surplus equipment separately?

Solution

Sell the AMD as one cheap system on eBay (make it as minimal as you can, like only 8GB RAM, 550W PSU, etc.)
The rest, either sell them on eBay individually or make sell it as a complete system to your friends or family.

Sell these:
CPU amd fx 8350 4 ghz 8 cores
CPU COOLER Cryorg h7 quad Lumi
MB asrock 990fx killer
PSU evga supernova 550 g2

optional to be sold, if you have better GPU:
GPU msi radeon r9 280 gaming OC 3gb

Use the rest for yourself, those are still a decent gaming rig, if you have a good GPU e.g. GTX1070.
No need to sell everything.

I already have a system running, all of the above mentioned are to be sold, I just need an advice as to which components should I sell separately

So basically you're saying that I should put all the expensive stuff into the case, right?
